Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci, born Rayshawn Bennett, was released from Burress Correctional Training Center on January 31, 2025, after serving nearly four years. His release comes after he pleaded guilty in January 2024 to one count under Georgia’s gang statute, receiving a 20-year sentence with 10 years in prison and 10 on probation. However, credit for time served and a letter of support from Fulton County DA Fani Willis helped secure his early parole.
Lucci was first arrested in January 2021 in connection to a fatal shooting and later faced additional RICO charges. He remained in custody and, in March 2022, was reportedly stabbed in jail. In 2024, prosecutors dropped 12 of the 13 charges against him, including murder, and he publicly apologized in court.
Best known for hits like Key to the Streets and Everyday We Lit, YFN Lucci has yet to make a public statement following his release.
