Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennett, was released from Burress Correctional Training Center on January 31, 2025. He served nearly four years in prison after pleading guilty in January 2024 to one count under Georgia’s gang statute. Lucci was sentenced to 20 years, with 10 years to serve in prison and 10 years on probation.
His early release was secured thanks to credit for time served and a letter of support from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Lucci was first arrested in January 2021 in connection with a fatal shooting. He later faced additional RICO charges.
While in custody, Lucci was reportedly stabbed in jail in March 2022. Prosecutors dropped 12 of the 13 charges against him in 2024, including murder. During his court appearance, Lucci publicly apologized.
YFN Lucci, known for hits like “Key to the Streets” and “Everyday We Lit,” has not made a public statement since his release.
