A man accused of murdering former Fort Valley State basketball coach Samuel Jackson has been arrested, the City of Atlanta Police Department said in a press release.

Police took 30-year-old Iquane Brown into custody on Monday, charging him with murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, carjacking, and multiple weapons-related offenses. He remains in the Houston County Jail on unrelated charges.

Jackson, 59, was reported missing by his wife on Jan. 27. He had been working as an Uber Eats driver the night before he disappeared. His BMW was later found abandoned at an apartment complex in Bonaire, Georgia, with personal belongings scattered inside.

Through tracking technology, investigators traced Jackson’s last known location to Atlanta. Officers later discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds in the 2900 block of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim was Jackson.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive, and the investigation remains ongoing.
