Plans are moving forward for Midtown Green Atlanta, a new public park and cultural space in Midtown Atlanta led by Midtown Alliance.

The planned space, designed by Field Operations, will bring together art, live performances, and everyday activity in one open-air setting. The space will include a central pavilion and performance area, a restaurant and café, a community building with restrooms, flexible event spaces, terraced seating, and open lawn areas.

Midtown Alliance say the space will host everything from morning yoga to evening shows, along with art installations using sound, light, and music that change throughout the day and seasons. The organization describes it as a “cultural destination without walls,” meant to draw people in and give them a reason to stay.

The park will be built in phases, with the first phase opening first and the full park completed over time as planning and fundraising continue. As Midtown continues to grow with limited green space, the project is expected to become a major addition for public gatherings and events.
