Costco is opening a new warehouse in Stone Mountain, Georgia, as construction continues on the retailer’s newest metro Atlanta location. The store is being built in the Mountain Marketplace development near West Park Place Boulevard and U.S. 78 and is expected to open in August 2026.

The Stone Mountain Costco will span more than 150,000 square feet and serve as the anchor tenant of the 31-acre mixed-use project. Construction crews began work on the site earlier this year on the former Stone Mountain Tennis Center property.

The development will also include Chick-fil-A, Whataburger, a bank, a community park, and a 248-unit apartment community being developed by Greystar. Fuqua Development is leading the overall project.

The site previously hosted tennis events during the 1996 Olympic Games before the tennis center closed in 2007 and was later demolished in 2018.

When it opens, the Stone Mountain warehouse will become Costco’s newest location in metro Atlanta and one of several new warehouses the retailer plans to open during its 2026 expansion.
