A Powder Springs man has been arrested after throwing a drink at a Dairy Queen manager during a dispute over a milkshake.
The Powder Springs Police Department announced Friday that Gregory Jackson was taken into custody in connection with the incident at the Dairy Queen on Austell Powder Springs Road.
Jackson is charged with simple battery and disorderly conduct. He was booked into the Cobb County Jail, where his bond was set at $2,420, according to jail records.
The arrest comes after Dairy Queen shared surveillance video on social media and asked the public for help identifying the suspect. Dairy Queen said Jackson became upset after claiming his milkshake “was not a milkshake” before throwing the drink at the manager through the drive-thru window.
After Jackson’s arrest, the restaurant thanked the community for its help and praised the Powder Springs Police Department for its quick response.
Police also reminded customers that while it is okay to be frustrated or ask for an order to be corrected, assaulting employees is never acceptable.
