DeKalb Police have charged a 15-year-old with murder in connection with last week’s double homicide at Constitution Lakes Park.
The teen is charged with two counts of malice murder, possession of a pistol by a minor, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. His name wasn’t released because of his age.
The victims were identified as Andres Pedro Baltazar, 27, and Tomas Pascual Cano, 23. Officers responded to a report of shots fired around 5:50 a.m. on July 24 and found both men shot to death outside a vehicle in the parking lot of Constitution Lakes Park near Doll’s Head Trail.
Investigators spent several hours processing the scene around the park entrance and South River Industrial Boulevard.
Police have not released a motive or said whether the teen knew either of the victims. The investigation is still ongoing.
